Actor Sonu Sood recently shared insights into his strained relationship with Kangana Ranaut during an interview with Shubhankar Mishra on YouTube.
Once close friends, the two actors are no longer in touch, a situation that stems from Sonu’s decision to exit Kangana’s film ‘Manikarnika’.

Reflecting on their past camaraderie, Sonu Sood said, “I left ‘Manikarnika’ because Kangana is my friend. Although we don’t talk now, I’ve always had a good bond with her family. Her parents and sister treat me with great warmth whenever we meet.”

Sonu emphasized his personal principle of not speaking ill of former friends, regardless of circumstances.

“If I’ve ever been close to someone, I won’t badmouth them, even if we’ve had disagreements. People might say whatever they want, but I choose not to retaliate,” he remarked.
The actor also shared his perspective on Kangana’s actions, describing her as someone who occasionally acts impulsively. “I think it’s foolishness, not malice. Sometimes, people say or write things without thinking them through. I’ve made mistakes out of naivety too. But I hold no regrets and prefer not to engage further,” Sonu explained.

When asked if Kangana had ever approached him for another project, Sonu revealed that they haven’t spoken since his exit from ‘Manikarnika’. “A mutual friend tried to reconnect us a couple of times, but it didn’t work out,” he added.
Currently, Sonu is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Fateh’, while Kangana is focused on promoting her directorial venture ‘Emergency’.
